Some successes are large, some small, but it’s all about taking steps forward and making progress.
Today, you’ll meet Elevate Advanced member Jeannie Spiro, founder of JeannieSpiro.com. She was our spotlight during our June 2013 call.

James: Hey Jeannie. Give us a brief description about the context of your business and then share with us again some of the biggest results you’ve gotten most recently here.
Jeannie: Essentially, I work with women who are in transition from employee to entrepreneur. I help them grow their business while they’re still working their day job, which is really what I had to do on my own and figure out how to do this.
This year in Elevate, it really came together for me when I realized my signature system and started—I started making a lot more money and getting some serious results.
James: What specifically happened, then? Share some of these results that occurred here.
Jeannie: I held my first telesummit and it grew my list tremendously. My list, since I’ve been in Elevate, has grown by about 60%. In addition to that, I had my first $12,000 month and that was really exciting.
James: Nice! Five-figure months are nice.
Jeannie: Yep, and I’m on target for about $125,000 this year, so I feel really good about that.
Joy: That’s great. I just want to say, Jeannie, that I love the way you described your service because I get it.
Jeannie: Yeah, I really carved out a niche, and I think it was because of really being in Elevate and listening to all the audios and talking it through and really processing it and working with this community. It’s such an amazing community of people who helped me really fine-tune my brilliance and my signature system and all of the offerings.
James: As you were building this, as you got that five-figure month, what would you attribute one of the best business practices you did to get that?
Jeannie: I got very clear on my revenue goals and what I was trying to make every month.
Beyond that, I don’t just stop at, “Okay, well, I offered a teleclass and I didn’t get the number of people I wanted.” Not beat yourself over the head with the sales tactics, but the follow-up process, the post-launch process. That has really changed the way I look at my business, that it doesn’t end after a sales conversation or it doesn’t end just after a teleclass. You have to always be marketing and you have to always be selling.
James: It’s a huge thing. I mean that’s a major way to keep generating those leads is after the event or after the initial contact.
Joy: I mean what a great teachable moment for everybody: Your follow-up sequence and system needs to be as effective if not more effective than your attraction to the actual event.
Jeannie: I’m really studying a lot more of online marketers. I think, James, being in Elevate Advanced and listening to the Access Calls every month. I get in every month and I ask my questions too. You’ve heard me on the line, and I’m right there because I want to learn. I want to be there and I want the people who are ahead of me to teach me what I need to do.
Joy: Yeah, fantastic. Wonderful! I know you’ve been very supportive of everyone in Elevate. You’re in there and you provide some great responses to the experiences you’ve had to the members, so we’re just thrilled to have you as part of the group.
