While filming my episode of ABC’s Secret Millionaire, I became fast friends with Wendy Marantz Levine and Alicia Marantz Liotta, two noble gals whose beautiful sister and cousin Melissa passed away at age 28 from a degenerative neuromuscular disease.
Aware of how nourishing in-home treatments were for maintaining Melissa’s quality of life, Wendy and Alicia created The Beauty Bus Foundation in 2009, which provides in-home beauty and grooming services, free of charge, to chronically or terminally ill patients and their caregivers, who hardly have the time or the resources to treat themselves to something they truly deserve.
I’ll be speaking and showing my support at their annual fundraiser The Beauty Drive, and I’d like to personally invite you to join me there: Sunday, April 17, 2011 at the House of Blues in Los Angeles.
The Beauty Drive will be hosted by primetime KCAL and KCBS news anchor Lisa Sigell. It’s a great opportunity to get involved with a charitable organization and catch up with me —and you can even bring your beau along to meet ESPN SportsCenter co-anchor Neil Everett, enjoy the men’s lounge, or compete in the putting contest.
Get ready for a day of mini-manis, brow-shaping, a PopTinsel hair treatment, and a silent auction for a trip to Maui or an iPad2 —all for a great cause.
Right now, Gilt City is offering a special $25 discount on tickets to The Beauty Drive. To purchase your tickets, go here now.
Hope to see you, SUNDAY, April 17 at the House of Blues in L.A.!
