A recent report from American Express OPEN confirmed what I am seeing everyday in my clients.More women are starting businesses than ever before. In fact, in the last 15 years, the number of women-owned businesses in the U.S. has increased by 54%.
BUT…here’s where it gets a bit disheartening.
We are STOPPING before we THRIVE.
Let me explain…The report also shared that as women’s businesses near $250,000, their growth stalls. And only 2% of all women-owned businesses reach $1 million or more.
I personally see even more of this happening at lower levels. There are millions of women right now trying to get their businesses idea off the ground, but they’re faltering.
They’re going here and there, trying this and that…but they aren’t close to truly breaking free.
All the opportunities are there, but it’s like we’ve created…
…our own glass ceiling.
Ouch.
Think about it. This goes against everything we became an entrepreneur for. And everything we stand for.
We believe it’s possible to run a business we LOVE that generates the income we need, and creates a life we love as well.
