When I first started my business, an ezine (or e-newsletter) was the first thing I did that really helped me get noticed.

If you feel trapped in a routine doing the same thing over and over again… if boredom and monotony has crept into your days… if you wake up each morning and wish you were on vacation rather than at work… then it’s time to shake things up in your life!

Repetitive habits and unchanging patterns make us feel comfortable, and so we tend to stick to doing them. Being comfortable is fine—but, staying within your comfort zone too long can lead to lethargy and apathy. A change can be as effective as rest when it comes to rejuvenating yourself and increasing productivity levels.

A few weeks ago I attended a cocktail party in Orange County with a date, and… as it usually happens at these things… the entrepreneurs in the room somehow magnetically gravitated toward each other and started talking.
(I am not sure if it’s because we find each other more interesting than other folks, or maybe it’s because sometimes we have a hard time talking to other people who “don’t get it?” ;))
Anywho, I became fascinated with a man who was sharing how he had started a large insurance company focusing on a specific market.

Many of us grow up thinking there has to be one or the other…
You make a lot of money and lose your soul OR you stay true to your faith and family.
One of the reasons why we think this way is much of our world is stuck in the old paradigm of thinking. Especially when it comes to money and business.
Consider this… the “old” model for business was a masculine model. Business and life were separated. Work and home were clearly divided. (Just watch a few episodes of Mad Men and you’ll get this quite clearly.)
