After pulling all-nighters in her job at a global corporate consulting firm, a major hospitalization woke up Angelique Rewers to seek her own path. Her first step was launching her own boutique agency. But today, as The Corporate Agent, she mentors entrepreneurs from around the world helping them land corporate contracts. She’s sharing her journey on the show today, step by step. And I’m honored that on this episode of #GlambitionRadio, Angelique also reveals how pivotal my coaching was during that big transition she made. (In some ways I didn’t even realize until our conversation today.)
Angelique and her team have trained and mentored more than 3,500 start-ups and self-employed professionals across 72+ countries in how to land and work with corporate clients. Her insights have led organizations such as USAID, National Geographic, and The Smithsonian to seek her consulting for entrepreneurs across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. And she’s been featured in Forbes, The Washington Post, CBS, and many more media outlets.
On the episode, we also discuss:
*the moment she took in a huge criticism lobbed at her and transformed it into a huge advantage
*how she’s built critical relationships with the media to get unusually high coverage on her brand and business (this insight alone is worth hearing the episode)
*how to stand out within all the noise out there — and your answer is NOT ‘more content’ (I agree wholeheartedly on this one)
*why when everyone else is zigging, you have to zag, and how she made this decision when everyone else was telling her to ‘blend in’
*the ripple effect she experienced after speaking at my SHINE event in 2010 (she walks through the evolution of herself and her business)
*why saying YES to everything will HURT your business
*And how it really is working with your husband while managing twin 9-year-olds!
Angelique and I also discuss the importance of leaning into BOLD decision making, why you should be comfortable in your own skin, and coming to terms with the fact that you will make mistakes, (and that’s okay).
I know you’ll get a lot out of this episode. So listen to this episode of Glambition Radio now (or download for later).
