Are you a pro at setting goals, but not quite the master at achieving them yet? You’re not alone. And fortunately, you’re not a lost cause either. Breaking your goals down into a few key elements could be the difference between all talk and all action in 2012.
One way to remember these key elements is to think of your goals as SMART: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound. Let’s take a look at what each of these elements mean, and how you can apply them to better set and reach your goals…

Very often when I’m mentoring entrepreneurs, especially women, the subject of health comes up. To be an entrepreneur, vitality is required! You need MORE energy and focus than 99% of the population, in order to do all you need to do. And hey, why not look be fit and look great while you’re at it? You ARE your brand and your product, so looking good and feeling good are key.
When I share with clients that I work out LESS than 30 mins. a day, and also enjoy my wine and restaurant meals, that’s when those women especially lean in and ask, “OK, how do you do it?”
That’s when I tell them about JJ Virgin.

I was honored to be featured last week in an article about my recent record-breaking launch for Elevate, my brand new online training program for entrepreneurs.
So cute the reporter titled it “It’s an Ali Brown Christmas!” In the interview, I revealed why I decided to launch Elevate at this particular time of year. When most non-retail businesses shy away from holiday launches, we took things up a notch. In fact, we took it full throttle.

Last Monday, I held my first EVER online LiveCast, and it was such a treat to be able to interact with the thousands of you who attended from around the world!
It was called Elevate LIVE!, and I hosted the 4-hour live event right from my living room in my L.A. beach home! My colleague James Roche flew in from Miami Beach to join me, and I have to say it was an amazing experience.
At first, I was concerned about going for 4 straight hours, but it FLEW by and I wished we’d scheduled an entire day!

With the kids around more than usual over the holidays, you might be missing quiet time to get solid work done at home. Most moms I know get too busy to properly plan ahead. But, if you get a little creative, you can set your kids up for a fun, memorable vacation and not miss a beat at work.

Remember, K-12 kids aren’t the only ones home for the holidays. Most college students have 3 weeks off and are probably going crazy under their parents’ roofs themselves. (Don’t we all remember those days?) Ask your friends and neighbors if their older children are looking for some extra cash around the holidays to play nanny, so you can still play boss.
