Hera Hub Founder and CEO Felena Hanson with Ali Brown on Glambition RadioDoes a sparkling clean office with mood lighting, soft music, a wine fridge and a friendly female-focused community sound like the perfect work environment? Find out how you can work here, on this week’s episode of Glambition Radio.
Working from home can be great, but it definitely has its drawbacks. There’s no one to talk to, and the isolation can drive you a bit crazy. On the other side, if you’re like me, and you have kids and a family in the house…once my 16- month-old twins are awake, all bets are off. There are a lot of distractions.
That’s why Felena Hanson founded Hera Hub, a “spa-inspired” shared workspace for female entrepreneurs. It’s a professional space designed to provide a productive work environment for women who work from home. There are meeting rooms, private offices and relaxed communal areas where women of all ages and stages of business development can work together or independently and support one-another.
Felena’s story began when she was laid off 3 times before she was 30, and now she has a business plan that includes national franchises and a global community.
Hear how she came up with the idea and launched it by clicking on the play button at the top of this page.
But more than just a pretty space, Felena developed Hera Hub to become the community of women entrepreneurs she wished existed. The female-focused work environment brings together a solid platform where women can start a business or grow a business to the next level, finding resources and support from their community of “office mates”.
On this episode of Glambition radio, you’ll hear how Felena NEVER lost faith in her very original business model, even when realtors wouldn’t take her seriously, or investors said she was nuts to think that so many women could get anything done while working under one roof. She shares a lot of really great advice, and lessons learned, that you can start using in your business (and life) right now.
