Raegan Moya-Jones, Founder and CEO of Aden+Anais, this week on Glambition Radio with Ali Brown

Raegan Moya-Jones on Glambition Radio with Ali BrownWhat do Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge, Kim Kardashian, and Beyonce’s babies have in common? They’ve all been spotted in Aden+Anais swaddles.

(And my own babies have been snapped in these too. See photo at end of this post. ;))

And this week on Glambition Radio, I interview Aden+Anais’ founder and CEO Raegan Moya-Jones, whom you’re going to LOVE. Not only her Aussie spirit, but her gumption to take an idea and run like hell with it… all while raising four (count ‘em… four) daughters in New York City.

Now, if you don’t have a baby, you may not know what a swaddle is. I surely didn’t until I was planning for the birth of my twins last year. We received a gift set of Aden+Anais swaddles a few weeks after the babies arrived, and we loved them so much that we promptly went out and purchased more.

Little did I know I would happen to meet Raegan a year later! And we instantly bonded because my honey Brett is also from Australia.

Raegan’s success started with coming to the U.S. over 10 years ago and discovering we didn’t have the style of muslin swaddles they had back in Oz.

Muslin Baby Wraps - Raegan Moya-JonesMuslin swaddles are very common in Raegan’s native Australia—they’re an Aussie motherhood tradition. So when she couldn’t find them here, she decided to create her own line. And that’s how Aden+Anais was born. Since then she’s taken that one idea and built it into a full line of baby products that now spans 63 countries and has reported revenues of over $30 million.

And this year her swaddles made the biggest debut ever… on little Prince George when Kate and Will brought him out from the hospital for his big debut! You’ll love this story in her own words—because Reagan had NO idea that was going to happen. Turns out that Kate purchased Aden+Anais swaddles for little George herself and chose one for the big occasion. What a boon to an already booming business.

On this week’s Glambition Radio, I asked Raegan to share her top 3 success tips. Here’s a sneak preview, in her own words:

Tip #1: Do something you love

“Always do something that you love. You need to believe in what you’re doing wholeheartedly, and you need to believe in it because… the toll that it takes on you if you don’t believe in it… you’re not going to make it.”

Tip #2: Don’t do it for the money

“Never ever, ever make a decision for money. If you’re doing what you’re doing to get rich, that’s disastrous. You’ve got to do it because you believe in what you’re doing and it’s a passion. It can’t be ever for the money.”

Tip #3: Always be authentic

“Don’t get blindsided and go off track. I think why Aden+Anais is so successful is because, at the core of it, I’m still actively involved in everything. If it doesn’t feel right to me and doesn’t make sense to me as a mother and for the brand, we just don’t do it. I think authenticity is a really important thing to success.”

On the show, Raegan also talks about the DOWNSIDE of business partnerships, because she had one go bad. I liked her advice on what to think about before you go into business with a friend or family member. (And, what to consider INSTEAD of forming a partnership.)

A lot of empowering and inspiring advice to wrap your head around from Raegan on this episode of Glambition Radio on iTunes.
