When I had my twins in 2013, I was thrust into a new world of childcare arrangements, options, and fast learning. And one of the biggest headaches was paying our nanny legally as a true household employee — until I found Breedlove & Associates (which had just merged with Care.com).

Breedlove’s concept was simple—bringing the turnkey payroll service that businesses have used for years to a new market. But it solved a huge headache for families—unfortunately the current tax requirements make it incredibly difficult and expensive for families to set up and manage household payroll easily. (Welcome to America.)

Then earlier this year, I was introduced online to a business leader named Stephanie Breedlove, and I’m thinking “I know that name!” Turns out this company had a real person behind it, and a fantastic story.

On this week’s episode of Glambition Radio, Stephanie tells the tale on how she and her husband built this company from the ground up with no investors to a later acquisition of over $50 million. (Pretty sweet deal!)

We talk about the moment she knew it was time to leave 51xb5o9qbsl-_sx333_bo1204203200_her cushy corporate job to pursue this venture, what it took along the way to believe in herself and to deliver this service that families need, and where her call to service is taking her now.

We also discuss her book “All In”, which comes out in the new year (preorders are available now at Amazon), and what it means to be “all in”. (And what it means to not be.)
