When Val was 15, she started a business for a school project and when it turned a profit, an entrepreneur was born. Her first job out of college was working on the sales floor of Harrods department store in London. A promotion allowed her to discover a talent for corporate management, and then she moved on to positions at companies like Amazon, BMW, and Marconi. Val was part of a small team at Microsoft that created the fastest selling device of all time, Kinect for X-box, and a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records.
