Are you ready for an inspiring conversation with a creative icon? When Julia Cameron wrote The Artist’s Way over 20 years ago, she had no idea it would spawn a creative resurgence around the world. Her “way” showed us all that creativity wasn’t just for artists — it’s the key to a newer, healthier, and more joyful way of being. On this week’s episode of Glambition Radio, you’ll hear how Julia’s own remarkable career as an artist and author of 35 books, selling 4 million copies worldwide, has allowed her to change the way people live and work through The Artist’s Way.
The Artist’s Way grew out of Julia’s own struggles and what she calls the “creative injury” — or discouragement to be creative — she saw in other artists. One of her first discoveries was writing three long pages of thoughts first thing in the morning (“morning pages”) allows us to shut out the negative soundtrack that slows us down, and gives us the room in our head to simply tune into ourselves. The process gives you three basic tools: direction, inspiration, and integration.
By clicking the button below you can hear how the “valentine” Julia wrote for her partner at the time became The Artist’s Way phenomenon in our Glambition Radio interview.
Many women entrepreneurs have lost touch with their creativity – or haven’t been encouraged to be creative in their careers. But, there’s a shift in thinking and people are realizing a creative drive is essential in both business and personal life. Julia’s books, which include The Artist’s Way for Parents and The Artist’s Way to Work, will guide you to the right next steps as an entrepreneur.
On this episode of Glambition Radio, Julia and I discuss how morning pages, artist’s dates, and walking can lead to life-altering experiences. I know you’ll get a lot out of this episode. So click the play button below and listen to this episode of Glambition Radio now.
